Energence Ltd (www.energence.co.uk) is a UK company that specialises in “Smart City” concepts.

The Company’s key focus is on the automated monitoring of renewable energy equipment (such as photovoltaics, Heat Pumps, etc) for city and borough councils so they can confirm compliance with carbon reduction planning policies.

The two key individuals involved in the EEIG are Adrian Hewitt (former energy planning officer at the London Borough of Merton), and Steven Harris (eco-architect and former head of technology at the Energy Saving Trust).

Carrera and Hewitt worked together closely on building the first version of the Renewable Energy Monitoring Platform in partnership with the London Borough of Merton. They were also the founding directors of Energence Ltd in 2009.
